Our School

We are located at the corner of 108th and Old Maple, just a few blocks south of Fort Street in northwest Omaha.

We have been committed to providing quality Lutheran education since 1948. Gethsemane Lutheran School is open to all children in the Omaha area.

We provide quality education for grades K-8 and also operate a Preschool.

The Garden Of Gethsemane

  • On the Mount of Olives, outside Jerusalem's city wall, was a garden that housed an olive press, called a "gethsemane" (geth-sem'-uh-nee). The Garden of Gethsemane was the place where our Savior prepared for his suffering and death with a simple prayer:


    "Father, your will be done."

    His prayer was answered. Now we measure with joy our Father's every blessing through his crucified and risen Son, like the privilege of calling God "Father," hope that defies death, and patience in suffering. We are also happy to claim the name "Gethsemane" for our congregational family.
